STEP BY STEP AND APINME JOIN FORCES TO BEGIN HUMANS CLINICAL TRIALS

Dr. Vaquero, to begin a human clinical trial on humans this June, made possible by members of Step by Step Foundation and APINME. A project in search for a cure in spinal cord injury

2012 is the year that 12 spinal cord injured can finally be the first to take part in the study of stem cells headed by Dr. Vaquero.

Almost 20 years of research have passed since obtaining positive responses in lower and higher mammals before making the jump to humans. It is a project that has matured over the years and has finally reached the desired stage, thanks to support from public entities, such as the Ministry of Health, and also, as in this case, to agreements with private entities.

With the investment, the intention is to make the last step for the construction and validation of the Cell Therapy Room which will be used in the study expected to start this June

At this point, they are ready to start human clinical trials for a project that began 20 years ago.

However, it will require a final push to finally give the green light to this project. Between all of us, we could make this happen and be closer to a cure for spinal cord injuries. Please make your contribution!!
